This is an exciting time to join the Mauritania & Senegal (M&S ) business, the entity delivering the innovative, multi-billion dollar investment Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project - a unique and complex LNG project situated on the maritime border of Mauritania & Senegal. The successful candidate will support in creating and driving strategic internal communication campaigns that support the M&S business leadership team, communicate priorities and deliver audience-specific approaches across multiple countries to increase understanding, engagement, and improve bp’s reputation. * Partner with the M&S Head of C&EA and the Senior Communications Manager to build and regularly review a strategic regional Communications Plan which is measurable and aligned with segment, region and country-level priorities focused on GTA project achievements. * Act as the Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for the regional strategic internal communications scope, encompassing strategic campaigns (e.g. Pulse survey), bp strategy and transformation, regional transition and strategy, change communications, strategic internal events, and internal digital channels. * Serve as the main liaison for the Regional SVP and VP Production, leading the end-to-end delivery of townhalls, Viva Engage, and other strategic campaigns. * Maintains strong representation and connectivity between the Mauritania and Senegal region and central teams (P&CC working groups), ensuring alignment and visibility. This includes building internal communications plans for in-country communications advisors to implement, while ensuring integration with centrally-led campaigns. * Responsible for the M&S C&EA collaborate with the P&O comms and with M&S Project and production teams, this role will handle internal communications, while aligning and supporting the external communications, for the GTA Phase 1 Project. * Handle approvals of GTA suppliers’ third party external communications review and approvals from projects and production teams. * Proactively generate project-specific content for bp channels, including content, videography and photography for M&S intranet and Viva Engage platforms. * Build and update regional content and where relevant the GTA factsheets, engagement slides, briefing documents and visual assets, portraying the project’s status and key stages to be used in engagements with partners. * Work closely with social performance team(s) and external communications advisor to integrate community project successes and relevant key messaging in internal communications. * Run integrating regional key messages with input from relevant parts of the business and C&EA team, ensuring we have up-to-date positions on business, environmental and social and other issues for all collaborators * Responsible for end to end management of strategic events, especially with internal focus, working closely with in country teams, admin support and vendors to agreed budget and schedule, while demonstrating the opportunity to strategically push group and region priorities and influence partners * Support executives on speaking engagements as needed, developing briefing packs, speeches, talking points, and presentational materials. * Own relationships with UK-based vendors and suppliers, to deliver high level content on budget and to agreed time frames, ensuring all results are within the brand guidelines and delivered to brief. * Drive continuous improvement through insights and measurements. * Provide crisis communications support, lead sustainability and safety campaigns, and support the VP production through organizational transition. * Deliver bp’s sustainability & net zero campaigns and associated campaign materials. * Develop an asset management plan for all content and materials ensuring approvals are in place. * Develop regional safety messaging and campaigns to support safe GTA production. * Amplify success around National Apprentice Technician Programme and ensure alignment across all relevant channels Education Requirements: University degree preferably in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent experience. * Extensive experience in the field. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear and compelling manner to a variety of audiences. * A successful track record designing and implementing effective communication plans which align with business strategy using a number of tools and channels. * Ability to influence and collaborate with external and internal partners across multiple fields, levels, cultures and geographies, across organisational boundaries. * Successful management of multiple projects concurrently in a carefully budgeted and dynamic environment. * Demonstrate flexibility, trust and skills in delivering communications and engagements around critical issues. * Track record in Crisis communications. * Strong understanding of Oil and Gas industry.
