Coldpiece Farm is a family run farm situated 10 minutes south of Reading. The grounds consist of a mixture woodland and grassland. The river Whitewater runs through the estate. We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day to day running of our farm. The ideal candidate will have practical agricultural experience, strong leadership skills and a broad understanding of modern farming techniques, be mechanically minded and proficient in business management. Key responsibilities: • Plan, organise and coordinate daily farm activities., • Ensure all farm machinery is maintained and serviced., • Hire, train and supervise farm workers., • Ensure all farming activities comply with ongoing government schemes/initiatives. Essential skills: • Excellent communication skills, • Tractor competency, • Hedge cutting, topping and bailing experience, • Chainsaw/tree felling knowledge, • Computer literacy, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets etc Position: Full time, some weekends may be required.
