Quality Control Manager Ipswich Salary: c£38K About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and driven Quality Control Manager to lead our Quality Control function within a controlled manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. You’ll oversee day-to-day Quality Control operations, manage a skilled team, and play a vital role in driving continuous improvement across production. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the Quality Control team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, • Oversee in-process and final inspections in line with procedures and standards, • Ensure production line readiness, including start-ups, changeovers, and line clearance, • Manage non-conforming products and drive timely resolution of quality issues, • Monitor QC performance (KPIs), identify trends, and lead continuous improvement activities, • Support audits and maintain audit readiness at all times, • Manage customer and supplier quality issues through to resolution Applicants will ideally have: • Qualification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience), • Professional quality certification (e.g. Internal Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt) desirable, • Strong knowledge of quality processes, inspections, and documentation, • Proven experience leading QC teams in a controlled manufacturing environment, • Hands-on experience with inspections, non-conformance, and product release, • Working knowledge with ISO standards (13485, 9001, 14001) and/or FDA requirements, • High attention to detail with confidence to challenge and escalate issues, • Competent in IT systems (e.g. Excel, reporting tools) and maintaining audit-ready records We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to lead and shape the Quality Control function within a growing manufacturing facility in Ipswich.
