Alexander Steele are working with an ambient food manufacturing business in North Yorkshire which are looking to recruit a Hygiene Supervisor . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business in a key role, responsible for maintaining the highest hygiene standards across site operations. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise the hygiene team to ensure all cleaning schedules are completed to the highest standard., • Oversee day-to-day hygiene operations across production areas, ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, company policies, and audit standards., • Manage and review hygiene documentation, schedules, and records., • Support audits (internal, customer, and external) with hygiene-related information and corrective actions., • Develop and train the hygiene team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement., • Liaise with Production and Technical teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency during cleaning schedules., • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times, including correct use of PPE and chemicals. Requirements: • Previous experience in a hygiene supervisory role within food manufacturing., • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, COSHH, and allergen control., • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment., • Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs.
