PE Global is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer (engines) for a leading multinational manufacturer of construction and mining equipment client based in Stafford. This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site 5 days a week. Pay rate is £21.21ph PAYE or £28.79ph Umbrella. Duties of the role/Responsibilities • Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes., • Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance., • Leading and supporting DFMEA and DVP&R creation., • Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues., • Release of product designs into engineering systems to a high quality and defect free standard, • Leads the design, analysis, and simulation elements. Prepares and maintains personal plans and is responsible for meeting scheduled dates., • Prepare presentations and to share proposals and solutions with other members of the organisation., • Requires a bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum plus 1-3 years’., • Experience in Diesel / spark ignited engine design, • Product Development experience, • Extensive knowledge of Creo, • Ability to perform simple simulation work, • Good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts., • Requires strong leadership ability and good communications skills. PE Global is currently recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturer of construction and mining equipment client based in Peterlee or Stafford. This is an initial 12 months based on site 5 days a week in Peterlee or Stafford. Pay rate is up to £27.88ph PAYE or £37.68ph Umbrella. Duties of the role/Responsibilities • Ensuring the quality of supplies by conducting tests and assessments on incoming supplies to identify any quality issues;, • Developing supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanism., • Generating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Guiding suppliers to reduce these defect rates., • Researching the potential vendors, assessing their manufacturing environment, practices, and procedures;, • Conducting supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with organizational and federal policies and standards., • Supporting suppliers in improving their performance through process enhancements, implementing process controls, and developing quality assurance plans. Education/Experience • Automotive knowledge., • IATF16949 or a minimum of ISO9001 Processes certificate, • Microsoft Office & PowerBI experience, • Effective Communications, • Problem Solving, • Knowledge of Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) elements, submissions, and objectives, • Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
