SAMSON Controls Ltd, part of the global SAMSON Group, is a leading manufacturer of high-performance control valves, actuators, automation systems, and advanced digital technologies for the process industry. Following the retirement of a long-serving colleague after 31 years, we are seeking an Area Sales Manager to take over this well-established region covering the South West of England and Wales. This is a field-based, autonomous role focused on supporting a strong existing customer base while developing new opportunities within key process industry sectors. What You’ll Do • Manage the region autonomously, taking full responsibility for territory planning, customer visits, and sales activity., • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, site engineers, maintenance teams, consultants, and project personnel., • Conduct technical site surveys, understand application requirements, and recommend suitable control valve and automation solutions., • Promote the full SAMSON Group product portfolio, including: • Globe, Triple offset butterfly, PTFE/PFA lined, Ceramic, Rotary plug and Ball Control Valves., • FOCUS-1 Smart Meter Valve, • SAM VALVE MANAGEMENT advanced positioner diagnostics, • SAM GUARD AI-based predictive monitoring software. • Provide on-site technical support and guidance, ensuring customers receive the right solutions for their processes., • Work closely with internal application engineers to prepare quotations, proposals, and technical submissions., • Maintain accurate CRM records and support reporting, forecasting, and regional growth strategies., • Represent SAMSON at customer meetings, industry events, and technical presentations. What You Bring • Experience with control valves, steam systems, flow/pressure control, or broader process engineering equipment., • Ability to carry out site surveys, understand process conditions, and discuss engineering applications confidently., • Strong relationship and account management skills with end users and engineering stakeholders., • Highly self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your time and region independently., • Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn SAMSON’s advanced digital solutions., • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
