Be-IT are working with a well known organization in Dundee to recruit a Electronics Engineer and a Displays Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. Both roles are permanent and are based in Dundee: 3-5 days on site required. * Electronics Engineer * You will be responsible for designing circuits and schematics, PCB layout design, coordinating design projects, interaction with cross functional teams, documentation of design and test processes and testing of electronic circuit and board designs. Day-to-day duties: • Design, development and documentation of microprocessor and microcontroller based PCB assemblies., • Generating schematic drawings, BOM, Gerber package, bar board documentation and assembly documentation for PCB manufacturing., • Supporting hardware unit test, as well as integration and systems testing., • Designing circuits and schematics in Cadence., • Designing multilayer PCB layout while meeting specified requirements, established design rules (including electronic circuit knowledge) and meeting DFM standards using Cadence Allegro., • Use of tools for Schematic capture (Cadence experience preferred but not essential)., • Coordinate estimates of effort, schedule, and size of change to the relevant Project Manager., • Regular progress reporting on schedule, quality & size of changes., • Supporting existing devices through problem investigation and resolution., • Building proficiency in PCB Soldering and board debug skills., • Collaborating with mechanical engineers to define and verify requirements., • Collaborating with other electronics design engineers in the team to develop new devices. To be successful as an Electronics Engineer you should have: • Honours Degree qualified (Electronics Engineering or related subject)., • A minimum of 2-5 years experience in device development., • Knowledge of Analogue and Digital design methodologies., • Ability to work coordinate multiple projects simultaneously within the bounds of PCBA design., • Experience in Schematic PCB Design, Layout CAD tools, documentation, and development., • Interfacing with suppliers and cross functional teams., • Maintenance of ECAD tools and supplemental tools. Details: • £35-45k per annum for the right candidate, • 3-5 days a week in the office in Dundee, • The right to work in the UK - Sponsorship is not available, • Pension + Holidays * Displays Engineer * You will be responsible for developing Displays and Touchscreens, working with global suppliers, interaction with cross functional teams, design documentation, regulatory compliance in development and test of electronic circuit and board designs. Day-to-day duties: • Design, develop and document the development of Display and Touchscreen devices., • Supporting the wider development team in the design and development of related devices., • Working with global suppliers on a shared development activity., • Supporting hardware unit test, as well as integration and systems testing., • Documentation of design, test and debug procedures., • Writing specifications and test reports., • Coordinate estimates of effort, schedule, and size of developments to the relevant Project Manager., • Regular progress reporting on schedule, quality & size of change., • Support for existing devices through problem investigation and resolution., • Proficiency in PCB Soldering and board debug skills., • Collaborating with mechanical engineers to define and verify requirements.
