Finally, you will be responsible for collaborating with inter-departmental teams to investigate and resolve product or process deviations The ideal Production Chemist or similar will have previous experience within a Mechanical Design/Chemical Engineering position or a related role. On top of this, you will be happy to travel both nationally and internationally on rare occasions. The Role Working on assignments ranging from simple one-off components to major long-term infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for producing accurate estimates, high-quality drawings, and providing technical support throughout the production lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Costing • Analyse customer requirements and prepare accurate, competitive estimate bids within deadlines., • Collate material, subcontractor and labour costs, ensuring all quotations are reliable, current, and commercially aligned., • Apply engineering principles to assess feasibility of manufacture and construction., • Estimate fabrication times and work closely with production to ensure appropriate methodologies and efficiencies., • Produce high-quality, detailed 2D and 3D drawings using TurboCAD., • Candidates with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience will also be considered., • Modify existing drawings and ensure all designs comply with industry standards and health & safety requirements., • Liaise closely with engineers, designers, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and structural teams to validate information and ensure accurate quotations., • Attend project meetings with production management to support on-time, on-budget delivery., • Prioritise incoming enquiries to maintain strong customer satisfaction.
