Infrastructure Support Engineer (Projects) Colchester £30,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology consultancy where you'll move beyond traditional support and gain hands-on experience delivering infrastructure projects, cloud deployments and client solutions. As a smaller, ambitious business, you'll be given far greater exposure than you might find in a larger organisation. Working closely with experienced consultants and senior engineers, you'll play an active role across a variety of client projects while continuing to develop your technical skills. This role would suit somebody with a solid 2nd Line Support background who is keen to progress into infrastructure, projects and technical consultancy. Responsibilities include: • Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and networking projects., • Assisting with the installation and configuration of switches, routers, firewalls and wireless networks., • Supporting cloud migrations and client onboarding projects., • Assisting with data migration and implementation projects., • Providing 2nd Line technical support to business clients., • Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows and network-related issues., • Working alongside senior engineers on client deployments., • Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent technical support., • Learning new technologies and developing your infrastructure knowledge. About You We're looking for somebody who enjoys solving technical problems and is keen to continue learning. You'll ideally have: • Experience within a 2nd Line IT Support position., • Good all-round knowledge of IT infrastructure., • Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Windows environments., • Basic networking knowledge (switches, routers, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP)., • Excellent troubleshooting skills., • Strong communication and customer service skills., • A genuine desire to develop your career., • Full UK Driving Licence. Exposure to Azure, networking, firewalls, virtualisation, CCTV, Ubiquiti or cloud technologies would be advantageous but is not essential.
