Health & Safety Advisor Location: Chichester Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + package Confidential – Leading Main Contractor A leading UK main contractor is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join their team, supporting construction projects across Chichester and the surrounding region. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing construction environment, offering strong career development and exposure to complex schemes delivered to high safety standards. The Opportunity You will support the delivery of health & safety across live construction projects, working closely with site teams, project managers and senior management to promote a positive safety culture. This role is well suited to a hands-on advisor who enjoys being site-based and actively involved in day-to-day safety management. Key Responsibilities: • Support the implementation of the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures across live projects, • Assist in ensuring full compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company requirements, • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations, • Provide advice, guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors, • Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions, • Support training, toolbox talks and safety briefings, • Assist with RAMS reviews, method statements and high-risk activity planning, • Promote continuous improvement and best practice across all sites Ideal Background: • Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within a main contractor or construction environment, • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK construction H&S legislation, • Experience working on live construction sites, • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) preferred, • Proactive, confident communicator with a practical, site-focused approach If you’re a motivated Health & Safety Advisor looking to develop your career with a reputable main contractor on quality projects, we’d like to hear from you.
