Waking Night Project Worker\n\nLocation: St Albans\nHours: Full-time (36 hours per week) \nSalary: £25,122/£13.42 per hour\n\nWe are looking for a reliable and committed Waking Night Project Worker to join our team at Martin House, supporting adults who have experienced homelessness. This is a vital overnight role where you will provide a calm, compassionate presence while ensuring the service remains safe, secure and welcoming for everyone.\n\nYou will support residents in a way that builds confidence and independence, respects individual choices, and helps people feel included and valued. Working closely with colleagues, you will contribute to a supportive team culture and respond calmly to situations as they arise.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide overnight support to residents, promoting safety, wellbeing and independence\nOffer reassurance, guidance and emotional support with empathy and respect\nRespond confidently and calmly to incidents, emergencies or crises\nCommunicate effectively in ways that meet individual needs\nWork collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, inclusive environment\nAdminister medication where required\nMaintain accurate records and report concerns promptly\nEnsure the safety and security of the building throughout the nightYou will bring strong communication skills, a flexible and positive approach, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
