Our client are a well-established and fast-growing mechanical and electrical contractor with a turnover in excess of £60m, looking for an experienced Senior Document Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. About the business Our client are a successful M&E contractor operating across multiple project sites. Despite being a £60m+ business, they operate with a lean, close-knit team, meaning the people they bring in carry real responsibility and visibility. The business has grown significantly over the past two years and is in a strong financial position, giving the right candidate a stable and rewarding place to build their career. The Role Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of document control across multiple project sites while managing and mentoring a team of four document controllers. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of document management across the business, ensuring processes are followed consistently and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team of four document controllers, providing day-to-day oversight and support, • Oversee document control activities across multiple project sites, • Ensure all documentation is accurately managed, distributed, and stored in line with company procedures, • Maintain and continuously improve document control systems and processes, • Act as the central point of contact for document control queries across the business, • Support project teams with document management best practice and compliance About You • Proven experience in a document control role, ideally at senior level within an M&E or construction environment, • Previous experience managing or supervising a team, • Strong understanding of document control processes and systems, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, • A collaborative, proactive approach and strong communication skills, • Ambitious and motivated to grow with a business for the long term Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 Location: Office-based, 5 days/week Team: Managing a team of 4 With strong financials, consistent growth and a lean team where your contribution genuinely matters, this is a role for someone who wants more than just a job, it is an opportunity to become a key part of something that is going places.
