    London Pet Club is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our growing team. We are seeking someone looking for a long-term opportunity who can commit to working with us for a minimum of 6 months (or longer). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has excellent dog handling skills, thrives working independently, and takes pride in providing exceptional care and customer service. ABOUT THE ROLE You will be responsible for providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services for our clients across London. Dog walks involve collecting dogs on foot. Some dogs are exercised on lead, while others are walked off lead. Pet sitting assignments may include daytime visits, overnight stays and weekend bookings in clients' homes. As our services are based around our clients' schedules, applicants must be available Monday-Friday between 7am-3pm. Occasional evening, weekend and overnight pet sitting assignments may also be available. You must own or have access to a bike, and be a confident cyclist, as you will be expected to cycle between each booking within the area. AREAS WE COVER Your main working area: Paddington, Notting Hill, Chiswick, Hammersmith You may also occasionally work in: Camden, Regent's Park, Islington, Hampstead, Tufnell Park, Finsbury Park, Walthamstow HOURS Up to 15 hours a week PAY Dog walking: £13 per hour Paid monthly upon receipt of a valid invoice Pet sitting: 1-3 hours: £13 per hour 4+ hours or overnight sitting: £40 per day/night ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Applicants must: -Be aged 21 or over -Have professional dog handling experience -Be confident walking dogs both on and off lead -Have experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments -Be physically fit and capable of walking for up to 2 hours -Be self-employed (or willing to register as self-employed) -Be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months -Be available Monday-Friday between 7am and 4pm -Be available for occasional evenings, weekends and overnight pet sitting -Be a non-smoker -Be an iPhone user with sufficient mobile data -Have excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills -Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS The following must be obtained during the trial period (at the applicant's expense): -Proof of identity and right to work in the UK -DBS check -Public Liability Insurance TRIAL ASSESSMENT Successful applicants will complete a 1-month trial period. During the trial you will be assessed on your ability to: -Independently walk up to 3 dogs together, both on and off lead -Safely handle dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments -Walk for up to 3 hours at a time -Manage dog behaviour and interactions confidently -Clean and dry dogs after walks where required -Feed and care for pets -Use GPS tracking and mobile applications to provide live client updates -Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service and professionalism PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Please note that experience gained solely from caring for your own pets, or pets belonging to family or friends, will not be considered professional experience. Full training in given on the product and we are looking for chatty confident people as the markets can get quite busy. This is a really fun environment. We are based in Park Royal and the markets currently are at Queens Park, Primrose Hill, Marylebone, Nottinghill, Kensington , Victoria Park and Barnes. The job includes : Picking up the market equipment and stock in the morning of the market (Park Royal area, NW10 postcode) Driving to the selected market and setting up the stand, which consists of a table and table dressings, canopy and weights , and the pre-packed meals. Chatting to the customers and explaining the products (full training given) Taking payments when products are sold Closing down the stand (takes only five minutes) Returning the stand and left over stock to Park Royal. Trading hours are 10am - 2pm (with a little bit of set up time and breakdown time each side) It is really helpful if the applicants live in the area but not essential as they will need to drive to Park Royal to pick up the equipment needed. £85 plus commission for a really fun short day.
