Your new company Central Bristol based business Your new role We're looking for a German-speaking finance professional to join a growing team and contribute to the organisation's overall financial direction. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leaders, providing clarity, challenge, and informed perspectives that support effective decision‑making.You'll play an important part in shaping business performance through activities such as forecasting, reporting, project analysis, working capital oversight, and the development of data‑driven insights. Collaboration will be central to your work, as you partner with colleagues across different functions and locations to help ensure financial plans are well‑structured, transparent, and aligned with broader objectives. Your Role You'll be part of a collaborative, multicultural finance team supporting operations across several European locations. Key Responsibilities Insights & Advisory: Lead core financial activities, performance reviews, and management reporting, while advising on complex project setups and key accounts. Reporting & Analysis: Oversee Income Statement and Balance Sheet reporting, providing clear commentary and delivering analysis across cost, margin, and profitability, including support for year-end processes. Planning & Forecasting: Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accurate, well‑owned financial plans and translating business strategy into meaningful financial outputs. Working Capital & Risk: Maintain strong working capital discipline, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and ensure effective follow‑through with stakeholders. Continuous Improvement & Tools: Improve processes, simplify reporting, and support the adoption of tools such as Power BI, automation solutions, and ERP enhancements-championing a mindset of continuous improvement across the finance function. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar. Fluent german speaker required. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or committed to pursuing certification. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset. Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; experience with ERP systems. Experience in commercial finance, business partnering, project accounting, or management accounting. Exposure to international or multicultural environments; engineering/technical consultancy experience is a plus. Proven ability to lead improvements in processes, reporting, or systems.Attributes Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills. Proactive, structured, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Comfortable managing multiple priorities under time pressure.
