Say hello to Eastcote! This lovely practice in West London has just had a role open for an RVN, on a full-time basis. About your new role! Situated in a popular family area in West London, the client base at Eastcote is established, due to many of them being bonded via our health care plan. You will be part of a settled team, including our lead vet who has been with Goddard Vet Group for over 12 years. Eastcote is also a training practice for our future RVN colleagues, and you will be instrumental in the guidance and support through-out their studies (which are provided via our own Training College). As the sole RVN in practice, there will be additional accountabilities which have been reflected in a higher RVN salary band. As a sole RVN, leadership training can also be provided, and you will work closely with your vet to ensure the practice is running as smoothly as possible (though we know there are "those days"!) This role is 40 hours per week, inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Sunday rotation at the nearby Mandeville Hospital in Northolt, where you will be rota ‘d to 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements for this position. As a branch RVN some of your duties will include: • Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care., • Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required., • Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records., • Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care., • Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients., • Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment, • Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use., • Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary., • Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training., • Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone., • Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor OOH and emergency care is provided by Mandeville Hospital, which is only 3 miles away, and has state of the art facilities including CT to ensure your patients are given the best care possible when away from their home practice.
