Fire Engineering Roles – Engineer to Associate Director Locations: Bristol, Glasgow, London, Manchester Sector: Fire Engineering | Building Safety Employment Type: Full Time We are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK engineering consultancy who are expanding their Fire Engineering teams across multiple offices. We are seeking talented Fire Engineers at Engineer, Senior, Principal and Associate Director levels to join their established fire practice in Bristol, Glasgow, London or Manchester. About the Opportunity: Our client is a highly respected, multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and technically rigorous fire engineering solutions across some of the UK’s most iconic and complex building projects. You will be joining a dedicated fire engineering group renowned for: • Industry‑leading expertise and Chartered Engineers across the team, • Access to major landmark developments and high‑profile schemes, • A forward‑thinking approach to research, modelling and emerging fire safety technologies What You’ll Be Doing: As part of this role, you will: • Contribute to multi‑disciplinary project teams delivering high‑quality fire engineering design., • Build long‑term client relationships through technical expertise and consistent delivery., • Attend client, design and site meetings across UK project locations (with occasional international travel)., • Utilise advanced fire engineering software tools including evacuation, smoke, fire and radiation modelling., • Produce detailed fire engineering documentation: strategies, technical notes, specifications and schedules., • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated project outcomes., • Support commercial activity including invoicing, monitoring WIP and planning resource needs., • Mentor junior members of the team, supporting professional development pathways including CEng. About You: We are keen to speak with candidates who have: • Experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment., • A degree in Engineering, Building Services, Maths, Architecture, Physics or a relevant technical discipline., • Strong understanding of fire safety design principles and UK regulations., • Experience using fire modelling and analysis software., • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively., • Strong organisational capability and the ability to meet deadlines., • Chartered Engineer status is required for more senior/Associate Director-level roles.
