Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant Location: Bracknell, Hybrid Role Overview :Avis Budget Group have an opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills to join the Finance team as a Senior Financial Accountant within our high-performing EMEA team . The Senior Financial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, working with a strong team in the UK as well as across the various countries including mainland Europe, our global headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey, and our shared service centre in Budapest, Hungary. Title: Senior Project Manager Reports to: Project Director Package/Salary: Remuneration and contract duration to be negotiated to suit project requirements, potential for a permanent role with the company. Based at: Remote and Onsite working / travel as may be required on a project by project basis. Typical Project Values: Ranging from £250k to £3m Contract & Working Pattern: We recognise that many experienced Project Managers operate across multiple contracts. As such, this role can be delivered either on a full-time basis or alongside another part-time engagement, provided the agreed level of input and project continuity can be maintained. Job purpose: The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering the project to the Client successfully, on time and within budget. They are the face of Glantre for the project and are required to represent the Company in project meetings, ensuring at all times that the Company’s interests are protected. The PM leads the project team and collaborates with the engineers to ensure that designs meet the client requirements, and that design / specification anomalies are resolved and additional costs documented / authorised. The PM, alongside the admin team, is responsible for issuing RFI’s / design information and managing the flow of documentation for the project. The PM is required to plan and maintain the project programme ensuring that: milestone dates are met, that information is delivered and received on schedule and that programme slippage affecting our work is documented to the Main Contractor. The PM will programme the site work and assign / procure adequate resource to complete the installation work in accordance with the agreed programme. The PM is responsible for preparation and maintenance of RAMS covering all site works undertaken by our operatives. This is usually carried out in consultation with the design engineers. It is the responsibility of the PM to deliver the project on budget and to improve margins where possible. The PM is required to track expenditure against budgets and to report upstream to the Project Director on a monthly basis. While the Project Director holds overall commercial responsibility for the project, the PM is expected to be commercially aware and ensure that all commercial issues are documented and reported. The PM is responsible for ensuring that project close out documentation is prepared and submitted in good time. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Design Phase: · Liaising with the client / consultant / main contractor during the design period · Preparing and maintaining the overall project programme · Managing the design engineers, ensuring that areas of “scope creep” are identified and ensure that these are claimed as variations · Ensuring that all equipment that is required to meet the design brief is included within the design package submitted for approval. · Making technical submissions and samples (if required) for equipment and obtaining of approvals before going to manufacture. Role Outline: The Corporate Tax Accountant will be part of the Allegis Group global shared service team and will be responsible for corporate tax related matters. Allegis operates across 12 European jurisdictions (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK) with a group structure comprising thirty-five active legal entities. The Corporate Tax Accountant will report to the EMEA Tax Manager and will be responsible for income tax compliance, tax provisions, transfer pricing compliance, as well as providing tax advisory to the Finance & Operation teams on various business transactions. Core Responsibilities: Income Tax Compliance in EMEA • Manage the corporation tax compliance process which involves the processing of advance and balancing tax payments, coordination with 3rd party tax preparers, tax return review, true ups and tracking for the EMEA region., • Manage the UK Group relief position and prepare journal entries to provide to the management accounts for the UK companies., • Coordinate with accounting team to obtain local STAT reporting so that the EMEA local income tax return can be filed timely., • Assist in effectively managing local income tax audits for the EMEA region., • Assist with EMEA corporate interest restriction rules, CFC disclosures, hybrid mismatches and imputed interest calculations, where applicable., • Review intercompany transactions and accounting entries to identify any discrepancies., • Preparation of annual fixed asset/ capital allowance breakdown. Working with external provider to maximise any capital allowance claim available during the year., • Assist other members of the wider tax and finance department as required. Tax Provisions in EMEA • Manage the quarterly and year-end tax provision process and work closely with the local accountants on preparation of tax provisions in the tax provision software with excel support., • Manage the ETR for EMEA jurisdictions on a quarterly basis, • Review tax provision calculations in tax reporting software and assist where necessary to co-ordinate further adjustments that need to be made and maintain supporting documentation, • Prepare tax disclosures for the UK companies and for non-UK entities financial statements as required, • Balance sheet reconciliation of the Tax Account and maintenance of tax sensitive accounts, • Understanding and preparation of journal entries to validate postings of accruals and true ups Transfer Pricing: • Assist with information gathering, preparation and managing transfer pricing requirements under BEPS and local jurisdiction requirements for the EMEA region., • Assist with adhoc and additional forms required by tax law in EMEA jurisdictions., • Assist with testing, comparing and supporting the Transfer Pricing policy used by Allegis to ensure it meets OECD requirements., • Support the implementation of HMRC’s new transfer pricing documentation requirements, including preparation of the Local File, and Summary Audit Trail in line with OECD and UK guidelines International Tax: • Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with OECD Pillar Two rules, including GloBE Income calculations, Effective Tax Rate (ETR) analysis, and Top-up Tax assessments across jurisdictions., • Assist with preparation of Public Country-by-Country Reporting disclosures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with EU transparency requirements.
