Kitchen Assistant – Care Home Location: Reigate, Surrey Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available Contract: Ongoing My client is a well-established care home in Reigate, providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for its residents. They are looking for a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food service, cleanliness and resident care. The Role As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen and care home team with the day-to-day provision of meals and refreshments for residents. Your responsibilities will include: • Assisting with the preparation and presentation of meals and refreshments, • Supporting the kitchen team during breakfast, lunch and evening meal services, • Preparing dining areas and ensuring residents receive meals in a timely manner, • Washing and cleaning crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment, • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas, • Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times, • Assisting with stock rotation and putting away deliveries where required, • Helping to keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently, • Providing a friendly and respectful service to residents, • Working closely with care and kitchen colleagues to meet residents' individual needs About You We are looking for someone who is dependable, approachable and has a genuine interest in working within a care environment. Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, hospitality or care home setting is essential.
