    We are seeking a enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our Warm Rosette Pub in Barnes! We’re a community-focused pub in Barnes, with a strong reputation for great food, drinks and service. Alongside our everyday pub trade, we host a wide range of events, from birthdays and private parties to weddings, celebrations and larger gatherings. We’re looking for someone who is confident leading a team, passionate about hospitality and understands what it takes to run a successful pub. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll play an important role in the day to day running of The Crossing. You’ll be a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable managing a busy Friday night, overseeing a private celebration or making sure the cellar is running perfectly. You’ll help ensure that our guests receive consistently excellent service while supporting the team and maintaining the high standards we expect across the pub. Key responsibilities • Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the pub, • Leading and motivating the team during busy services, • Maintaining consistently high standards of service, presentation and hospitality, • Taking responsibility for the pub in the absence of the General Manager, • Managing and maintaining the cellar, gas, • Managing stock levels, deliveries and stock rotation, • Supporting ordering and reducing waste and unnecessary stock loss, • Ensuring licensing, health & safety and company procedures are followed, • Training and developing team members, • Dealing confidently and professionally with guest feedback and complaints, • Helping maintain excellent relationships with regular customers and the local community Events are an important part of The Crossing, so experience in private hire and event management is highly desirable.
