In the role of Skills & Learning Manager, you will lead the expansion of our educational offerings. This includes developing engaging, student-centric learning content that helps individuals build practical skills, develop self-belief, and access meaningful opportunities. Role Overview As Skills & Learning Manager, you’ll oversee the creation and delivery of learning materials that support both student development and partner success. You will shape signature learning programmes, contribute to event-based content, and build digital resources designed for today’s learners. You will manage the full instructional design cycle—identifying needs, developing learning strategies, creating and refining content, and ensuring continuous improvement. Working across departments and with external contributors, you’ll simplify complex topics into accessible, engaging formats such as video, online modules, workshops, and webinars. Key Performance Indicators • Volume of learning content produced (e.g. modules, videos, guides, webinars) each quarter, • Timely and on-scope delivery of projects, • Learner satisfaction scores and feedback trends, • Self-reported impact on learner confidence and behaviour, • Audience reach and unique engagement metrics, • Frequency and quality of content updates, • Completion rates for major learning programmes, • Pre- and post-learning self-assessments, • Partner and participant qualitative feedback Expected Outcomes Their learning initiatives are a core pillar of the organisation, recognised for their quality and value by students, clients, and educational partners alike. • Deliver a portfolio of learning solutions tailored for Gen Z—spanning interactive modules, videos, simulations, and webinars., • Use evidence-based instructional design methodologies to ensure content effectiveness., • Ensure all content meets accessibility standards and reflects the latest industry and learner insights., • Collaborate with senior leadership and technology teams to develop and enhance our learning products. Flagship Learning Programme You’ll lead the design and rollout of our primary educational programme focused on helping students build career readiness, confidence, and essential skills. • Create structured learning paths and modular content that provide sustained, measurable value to users., • Support content delivery across events and learning sessions, maintaining a high standard of instructional integrity and engagement. Cross-Functional Collaboration Strong partnerships—internally and externally—are essential to the success of our learning offering. • Work with content specialists and stakeholders to convert complex ideas into digestible, student-focused materials., • Partner with design, multimedia, and marketing teams to integrate learning into broader student experiences., • Manage freelancers or guest contributors as needed, maintaining quality and consistency., • Align programme development with commercial and client needs to ensure uptake and retention., • Help onboard and support clients using our learning solutions through tailored walkthroughs or customised content. Innovation and Insights We continually evolve our platforms and services based on feedback and analytics. • Monitor learner behaviour and engagement using analytics tools and student insights., • Apply rapid testing and feedback loops to improve user experience., • Segment audiences to deliver targeted content aligned with different stages of the learner journey. Performance & Reporting They maintain transparency on impact and performance through detailed reporting. • Use tools like Articulate 360 and LMS platforms to manage and scale content., • Collect and interpret usage data, feedback, and success metrics to optimise performance., • Design assessments and diagnostics to track knowledge growth and inform future improvements. Leadership & Influence The Student Engagement team helps drive learning strategy across the organisation. • Serve as a lead instructional designer, setting standards and guiding others on best practices., • Represent student needs in broader content and product development strategies., • Promote an experimental, user-led culture of innovation in learning design and delivery. Candidate Profile You’re a learner-centred strategist who’s passionate about helping students thrive. You blend creative thinking with instructional design expertise, and you’re comfortable translating complex concepts into simple, impactful learning experiences. You enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams and bring a hands-on approach to both content development and strategic planning. Whether shaping a curriculum, writing scripts, or building modules in an authoring tool, you're driven by meaningful outcomes and student impact. What You Bring: • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, • Background in instructional or learning experience design, • Solid understanding of learning science, design frameworks, and best practices, • Proficiency with tools like Articulate 360, LMS platforms, or video editors, • Clear communication and documentation abilities, • Experience collaborating with subject experts and tech teams, • Comfortable designing for diverse formats—videos, webinars, podcasts, etc., • Skilled at working with internal stakeholders and external clients, • Committed to accessible, inclusive design, • Outcome-focused and insight-driven approach, • Experience developing learning content for events or webinars, • Bonus: exposure to UX copywriting or behaviour-led learning design
