At our school, PE isn’t just about fitness; it’s about belonging, resilience, and personal growth.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nCreating and delivering a dynamic PE curriculum that’s inclusive, engaging, and tailored to our learners’ individual needs.\nWorking collaboratively with curriculum and subject leads to ensure a joined-up, impactful learning journey across the school.\nInspiring students to explore new sports, challenge themselves, and grow in confidence – on and off the pitch.\nContributing to school life as a motivator, role model, and leader – inside and outside the classroom.\nSupporting colleagues through line management and peer collaboration, playing a key role in middle leadership.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou’re not just a teacher — you’re a motivator, mentor, and natural leader who brings energy, empathy, and an unshakeable belief in every young person’s potential.\nEssential Requirements:\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS)\nConfidence in teaching two subject areas – variety is the spice of school life!\nFull UK Driving Licence\nSome experience of line managing staff or supporting colleagues.\nA genuine enthusiasm to engage in middle leadership activities like curriculum scrutiny and team development.\nA strong understanding of the national curriculum, and how to adapt it for learners with SEN.\nA deep sense of empathy, patience, and creativity – because no two learners are the same.\nAbout us\nLongdon Park School opened in June 2015. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7 to 18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. We provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment where our young people learn to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive decisions and display pro-social behaviour. We are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum.
