Warehouse Team Leader – Newton Aycliffe Salary: £32,500 + Benefits Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Department: Operations Reports to: Warehouse Manager Jackson Hogg are delighted to have partnered with a growing business in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to appoint a Warehouse Team Leader to support and drive performance across a fast-paced distribution environment. Shift Pattern Rotating days off in pair, Saturdays always off. Work 3–4 days per week Week Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:00pm Sunday shift: 7:30am – 3:30pm Example rotation: Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Monday off Week 2: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday off Week 3: Thursday, Friday, Saturday off Role Overview As Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation. This is a hands-on leadership role, where visibility on the shop floor is essential to maintain performance, drive standards, and support the team. Key Responsibilities • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily KPIs and targets, • Oversee key warehouse functions including goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns, • Ensure all orders are processed accurately and within required timeframes, • Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet demand, • Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and organisation, • Support the training, onboarding, and development of team members, • Conduct shift briefings and ensure clear communication across the team, • Identify and escalate operational issues, supporting problem resolution, • Drive continuous improvement across processes, productivity, and efficiency, • Support stock control processes, including cycle counts and stock accuracy, • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless operations Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role (Team Leader / Supervisor level), • Experience working within fast-paced, high-volume environments, • Strong understanding of warehouse processes and operational best practice, • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, • Good level of IT literacy (WMS systems, scanners, Excel), • Hands-on approach with a proactive and positive attitude, • Good understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment What’s on Offer • Salary of £32,500, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave (increasing with service), • Generous staff discounts, • Supportive and fast-paced working environment, • Opportunities for progression within a growing operation If you're a motivated warehouse professional looking to take the next step in your leadership career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business experiencing strong growth and operational success
