We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Events team at 5 Hertford Street Club as an Senior Events Assistant. Working Hours: • Monday- Friday 9am – 6pm, • The club is closed on Sundays, Bank Holidays and throughout Christmas each year, • Please note that some flexibility is required to support events held outside of standard working hours What will you do? • Coordinate small member events and private bookings from enquiry to completion, including issuing function sheets, • Support event administration, including ticketing, guest lists, RSVPs, and communications, • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and accurate event documentation, • Handle enquiries, reservations, and share quotes while delivering excellent member service What are we looking for? • 1-2 years previous experience in a similar role and type of establishment, • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, • Excellent communication skills, including a confident and professional telephone manner, • Ability to multitask effectively and take a proactive approach, • Attention to detail and accuracy, • Experience using SevenRooms or Salesforce is advantageous, • Calligraphy skills also beneficial

Sitting in one of London's highest footfall locations, Southbank attracts people from all walks of life, from locals and tourists to theatre-goers and weekend crowds. The season runs from May to September, with a team of around 40 people working across the site. The Role: • Run the unit end-to-end, owning daily operations, standards, safety, and site performance while ensuring smooth opening, closing, and inspections., • Build and lead a motivated, well-trained team, creating a positive culture through clear communication, development, and strong leadership., • Lead product and service excellence, embedding brand standards, strong food quality, great guest experience, and driving sales through confident leadership., • Be accountable for compliance and people, delivering strong food safety results, leading and developing teams, and managing performance, training, and engagement., • Control the commercial performance, managing stock, labour, suppliers, and systems to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and grow sales. Full support and training will be provided for the right candidate who is passionate about working with young children.
