Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2) Location: Bournemouth, UK Salary: £71,400 + £4,000 Shift Allowance Relocation support may be available Must be able to secure UK security clearance, including ITAR requirements We are a recruitment partner supporting a leading aviation organisation in the search for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their Aircraft Maintenance team based in Bournemouth. This position operates within a highly regulated Part-145 environment, supporting aircraft maintenance activities critical to operational and contractual delivery. Working Pattern Week-about shift rotation: • Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 14:00 The role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance, alongside supporting team development and engineering decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Perform and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with Part-145 requirements, • Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activities, • Support aircraft operations at the main base and deployed locations worldwide, • Supervise engineering personnel to ensure adherence to maintenance procedures and standards, • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all maintenance documentation, • Coordinate engineering tasks to meet operational targets and timelines, • Assist the Crew Chief with task prioritisation, scheduling, and daily team management, • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, • Promote a Just Culture and encourage safety reporting, • Maintain personal authorisations, ensuring ongoing compliance and recency, • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency, • Deputise for the Crew Chief when requiredKey Requirements, • UK CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence (unrestricted), • Minimum of 5 years' experience within an aircraft maintenance environment, • Strong understanding of Part-145 regulatory requirements, • Proven ability to work to deadlines in an operational environment, • Effective communication and team leadership skills, • Eligible for UK security clearance, including ITAR requirements, • Willingness to work shift patterns and deploy as requiredCore Competencies, • Strong commitment to safety and compliance, • Leadership and team supervision capability, • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement, • Problem-solving and decision-making ability, • Self-motivated with a proactive and professional approachKey Deliverables, • Safe and compliant completion of maintenance activities, • Accurate recording of all maintenance work undertaken, • Adherence to regulatory and company procedures, • Delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to operational requirements DCS Recruitment and all associated companies are committed to creating a working environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of gender, gender identity, disability, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or transgender status, age, or nationality
