Your responsibilities will include preparing classrooms and learning spaces, creating displays of children’s work, and supporting a range of planned activities throughout the school day. You will provide additional support to pupils who require help completing tasks or engaging with learning, and you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. This includes monitoring pupils for signs of challenging behaviour, encouraging positive choices, and sharing any concerns with relevant staff. You will contribute significantly to helping pupils become confident, independent learners. This will involve explaining tasks, supporting classroom activities, offering 1:1 or small group support, and engaging pupils in reading and storytelling opportunities.
