Company Description Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain. Location: London (3 days a week). Employment basis: Permanent and the role is expected to be a full-time position. Working pattern: We operate on an office-based contract model, but support hybrid working where possible. This means youβll need to be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when business needs require, typically 3 days per week, though this may vary by team or project. Flexibility to be on site when needed is essential. Salary: Β£60,000 - Β£64,000, dependent on experience plus bonus, market leading pension and other flexible benefits. Following on from the success of the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project (SZC) in Suffolk is the UKβs next nuclear power new build project. The project has obtained planning approval and has started construction works. It has recently achieved Financial Investment Decision (FID) meaning that all the funding for the full lifespan of the project is now secured and in place guaranteeing the full delivery of this new nuclear power station. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. The Role Weβre looking for a Strategic Risk Lead to help guide our organisation through its evolving landscape by investigating, assessing, and delivering insightful advice on our strategic and portfolio risks. This role will involve close collaboration across all levels of the Sizewell C organisation, including regular engagement with the Audit and Risk Committee and Managing Directors. We are continuing to strengthen the Sizewell C Risk Management Framework and integrating Risk Appetite as a core component to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. As the Strategic Risk Lead youβll play a key role in ensuring Risk Reporting remains a priority - with a focus on improving efficiency and leveraging data-driven insights. The role also involves managing a wide range of stakeholders and navigating the complexities of the project and organisation risk profile, particularly in relation to financing, corporate development and the supply chain.
