Your Role\n As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will: \n\n • Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.\n, • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons.\n, • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other staff to meet pupils' needs.\n, • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.\n, • Help with lesson planning and classroom preparation.\n, • Set work where appropriate and mark assignments.\n, • Build positive relationships with your pupils to drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n To thrive in this role, you should have: \n\n • A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.\n, • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.\n, • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.\n, • Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as Food Hygiene, Forest School, or School Yoga.\n, • Experience in behavior management techniques.\n, • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.\n, • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.\nWhat We Offer\n At Martha H School, we value the emotional health and wellbeing of everyone in our community, including you!
