Your role will focus on hands-on maintenance for specialised pet food processing & packaging equipment, including both mechanical and electrical challenges. The aim of this shift-based role is to problem solve and repair technical faults on the factory equipment. These faults cause lost efficiency and factory downtime, making the Multiskilled Engineering Technician a critical & highly responsible role for our site to achieve production targets in a safe and food safe manner. You will need to collaborate with other shift maintenance engineers, shift operations, and days engineers to maintain and improve future factory performance and asset reliability. This means you will also become involved in longer term improvements and projects to improve reliability on a particular asset, maintenance schedule, or maintenance strategy. Or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification but with other qualifications / proven experience in the other discipline., • Self-sufficient, hands on, and strong problem-solving ability. This role is central to ensuring our datacentre operations run efficiently and securely, supporting key business systems and infrastructure services. As a Datacentre Operator, you will monitor and maintain systems within the datacentre, respond to alerts, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues quickly. You will also manage batch processing, Control-M scheduling, weekend releases, and assist with physical datacentre activities such as patrols, temperature checks, and system availability testing. You should have proven experience in datacentre or IT operations, good knowledge of Linux or UNIX, and familiarity with Control-M or similar scheduling tools. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a 24/7 shift environment are essential.
