HR & Business Operations Officer\n\nLocation: Bradford - Brittania House - BD1 1HX\n\nPayrate - £400 per day\n\nContract: 3 months (Possible of Extension)\n\nWe are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Operations Officer to join a dynamic Workforce & HR function with out Client. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-quality HR operations service, supporting the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with policies and employment legislation.\n\nRole Purpose\n\nTo provide a full range of HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring all activity is compliant with policy and current employment legislation.\n\nYou will work closely with HR Business Operations colleagues to deliver a high-quality Workforce & HR Front Door service, balancing self-service with appropriate support when needed.\n\nThe role also requires leading and role modelling values and behaviours that promote a supportive and inclusive working culture.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAct as a generalist HR officer, providing advice (excluding casework) and operational support across employee lifecycle matters such as sickness absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance.\nEnsure all advice aligns with employment law, policies, and relevant frameworks (e.g. Green Book, NHS Agenda for Change).\nFollow and contribute to improving HR policies and processes to ensure accessibility and usability.\nSupport service development including policy design, workforce development, and service improvements.\nDeliver HR & OD strategies through operational HR services.\nContribute to a 'one point of access' HR & OD Operations and Advisory Service.\nSupport workforce activities including appraisals, restructures, recruitment, redundancy, TUPE, and employee development.\nAssist in organisational change initiatives and attend consultation meetings.\nSupport recruitment and onboarding processes, including interviews and selection methods.\nEnsure compliance with statutory regulations and governance requirements.\nProvide HR policy and procedural guidance to the HR Service Desk.\nWork within SLAs and ensure consistency across workforce services. \n\nEssential Knowledge & Skills\n\nStrong understanding of employment law and HR best practices\nAbility to translate strategic objectives into deliverable outcomes\nExperience influencing and advising stakeholders across the employee lifecycle\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively\nAnalytical and problem-solving capabilities\nCommitment to equality, diversity, and quality service delivery\nAbility to work within structured frameworks and service level agreements \n\nExperience & Qualifications\n\nExtensive experience in HR operations or HR business partnering\nExperience across a wide range of workforce topics\nExperience managing service delivery within time and budget constraints\nManagement qualification or equivalent experience\nRelevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPD)\nMembership of professional bodies (e.g. CIPD, PPMA)\nKnowledge of strategic HR, workforce planning, OD, performance and talent management \n\nCore Competencies\n\nPerformance management\nEffective communication\nDecision making\nStructured problem solving\nWorking with dignity and respect \n\nManagement Competencies\n\nStrategic awareness\nLeadership and team development\nPerformance delivery\nProject and programme management\nBuilding high-performing teams\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThe role may require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or bank holidays based on service needs.\nAll duties must be performed in line with the Equality Act 2010, with reasonable adjustments where appropriate.\nPre-employment checks may be required depending on the role.Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
