Duties

Deliver expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion updos that meet client expectations.
Perform advanced hair treatments such as coloring, highlights, balayage, and hair extensions using industry best practices.
Apply color theory principles to achieve desired shades while maintaining hair health and integrity.
Use salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
Conduct consultations to understand client needs, recommend suitable styles or treatments, and educate on hair care routines.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Offer additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, or hair threading to enhance the client experience.
Manage retail sales effectively through upselling products like shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair accessories.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling payments efficiently.
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques and providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Support store management tasks when needed to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive salon atmosphere.
Skills

Proven expertise in hair styling techniques with a strong portfolio of diverse looks.
Knowledge of color theory principles for safe and effective coloring services.
Skilled in applying hair extensions and performing precision cuts using tools like straight razors and scissors.
Experience with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Capable of performing barbering services including straight razor shaves when applicable.
Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell products confidently while educating clients on their benefits.
Knowledge of nail care procedures and eyelash extension application is a plus for offering comprehensive beauty services.
Ability to mentor team members effectively while maintaining a positive store environment.
