Job DescriptionDescription: OCH Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift Engineer to join our team on an FAA project. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of robust and secure OpenShift Container Platform environments, from initial stand-up and configuration to ongoing maintenance, optimization, and security enforcement. This role demands a hands-on engineer capable of operating in a secure government environment, directly contributing to the modernization of the FAA’s critical aviation systems. Location On-site–FAA’s William J Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ Core Responsibilities & Duties • Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and adherence to security standards., • Perform all aspects of OpenShift cluster maintenance, including upgrades, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting., • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications deployed on OpenShift., • Develop and maintain automation scripts for OpenShift operations and infrastructure provisioning., • Manage storage, networking, and security configurations within the OpenShift environment., • Enforce security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and integration with enterprise identity management., • Document OpenShift configurations, operational procedures, and support guidelines., • Ensure all activities strictly comply with FAA security guidelines and operational policies for government environments and facilities., • Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and certification activities., • Provide technical support for program reviews, customer briefings, and stakeholder engagements. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Master's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 10+ years relevant experience OR a bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline plus 15 years of relevant experience Required Skills and Experience • Specialized expertise in Kubernetes core concepts and architecture, • Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems, • Demonstrated experience with automation scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Bash), • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security principles within containerized environments, • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, • Ability to work effectively in a secure and regulated environment Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Public Trust Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience supporting FAA, DOD, or other air navigation service providers, • Experience with National Airspace System (NAS) architecture, or experience working with similar critical systems, • Experience with other cloud platforms and hybrid cloud solutions, • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or other relevant certifications About Us: At OCH, we are more than just a government contracting firm; we are innovators and leaders in providing cutting-edge IT services and cybersecurity solutions.
