Job Description HealthYes is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment with a hospital-based GI service in Upstate New York, near the Syracuse region. Position Overview The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient GI services, including consultations and a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, in a hospital-based setting. The practice prioritizes patient safety, collaboration, and streamlined perioperative processes, allowing physicians to focus on patient care without unnecessary administrative burden. Call responsibilities are structured and discussed in advance. Assignment Highlights Hourly compensation is approximately $360 - $415 per hour, Compensation is based on experience and a standard full-time schedule. The final hourly rate may vary depending on the procedural scope, call coverage, and scheduling needs. Flexible locums scheduling is available, including full-time or extended coverage assignments. The role includes access to a modern endoscopy suite equipped with advanced technology, as well as experienced clinical and administrative support, and coverage for travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. Credentialing support is provided to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Qualifications MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
