How You’ll Make an Impact The First Article CMM Inspector / QA Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace components and assemblies meet engineering and customer requirements. This position requires expertise in CMM inspection using PC-DMIS software, strong knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, and the ability to perform both first article and final inspections with precision. What you’ll be doing as a First Article CMM Inspector / QA Inspector: • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location., • Inspect aerospace machined parts and assemblies using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) running PC-DMIS software., • Conduct conventional inspections using hand tools such as height gages, calipers, micrometers, and bore gages., • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and customer requirements., • Responsible for first part buy-off, in-process checks, final inspection, rejection tags, and supplier non-conformance notifications., • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, ASME Y14.5 GD&T, Catia, and Enovia to determine product requirements., • Troubleshoot and problem-solve machining processes when necessary., • Maintain and update inspection documents, staging sheets, and daily records., • Buy in material, standards, and parts as required for inspection activities., • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to all safety guidelines, policies, and laws., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, Catia, and Enovia specifications., • Proficiency in PC-DMIS programming and operation., • Knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, trigonometry, and measuring practices., • Experience with first article reports, recordkeeping, and documentation control., • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment., • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a QA Inspector in the aerospace industry, • Hands-on experience with CMMs, geometric tolerances, and precision measurement equipment., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems. Responsible for the CAD system that generates computer models of the parts. This position requires a high degree of concentration and multitasking. What you’ll be doing as a CNC Programmer: • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location., • Develop machine processes and programs for the manufacturing of products in 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centers and CNC lathes (multi-axis a plus) interfacing with tool engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and production personnel., • Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds, according to knowledge of machine shop processes. What you’ll be doing as an Aerospace Manufacturing Intern (Manufacturing Engineering Department): • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location., • Gather and organize customer RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for review by the estimating team., • Enter quote details, part data, and engineering requirements into ERP and internal tracking systems with high accuracy., • Create and maintain well-structured quote folders, ensuring proper version control of drawings and supporting documents., • Communicate with customers to confirm RFQ receipt, request missing technical details, and relay engineering clarifications as needed., • Assist in preparing complete quote packages, including formatting engineering documents, printing drawings, and compiling supporting materials., • Track open RFQs and quotes, updating status reports and following up under the direction of engineering or estimating leadership., • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality) to collect technical inputs and confirm manufacturing feasibility., • Schedule and support internal review meetings, documenting action items and technical decisions from pricing discussions., • Maintain estimating and engineering dashboards, logs, and performance metrics to support continuous improvement efforts., • Perform administrative and technical support tasks such as data entry, document control, and professional correspondence., • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Engineering or related field, • Highly motivated to learn and grow within the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry, • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word), • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail, • Effective written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting, • Prior experience in aerospace or precision machining industries, • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, • Comfortable working with technical documents, drawings, and spreadsheets Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of this job.
