Medical Director Responsibilities The primary aim of this position is to elevate the existing Pituitary Care Research Center into a recognized "Pituitary Center of Excellence." This will involve collaboration with neurosurgeons and adherence to the standards established by Casanueva et al. The center will serve as a focal point for specialized patient care and fellowship education. • Establish a clinical practice within the Neurosurgery and Endocrine Faculty to treat patients with pituitary and general endocrine disorders., • Engage in the division's on-call rotation and provide inpatient endocrine care as needed., • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the treatment of patients with endocrine conditions admitted to the hospital.Chief of Endocrinology Responsibilities We are also seeking a distinguished Physician-Scientist to take on the role of Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease within the Department of Medicine. Our Endocrinology division operates multiple satellite practices across New York City and excels in managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, MASH, MAFLD, obesity, thyroid disorders, adrenal issues, pituitary conditions, and reproductive disorders. Additionally, we host one of the largest automated insulin delivery (AID) system programs in the United States. Our team is also engaged in significant basic research related to pancreatic beta cell regenerative drug development, MASH/MAFLD, and prostate cancer. Administrative Duties The Chief will oversee the comprehensive management of the Division, which includes: • Formulating strategic plans and objectives that align with the Department of Medicine and the broader goals of our organization., • Managing all financial, operational, and personnel matters within the Division., • Enhancing the national profile of the Division through research, education, and innovation, particularly in relation to population health management.Key Responsibilities of the Division Chief, • Oversee the management of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease, focusing on developing an academically driven training program, expanding clinical services, and maintaining a financially sustainable operation., • Handle administrative tasks such as annual performance evaluations for faculty and staff, budget management, and coordination of staffing in line with departmental policies., • Guide the development of clinical practices, including the strategic growth of two Sinai Doctors faculty practices located on the Upper West Side.Education and Mentoring Responsibilities The Division Chief will: • Create innovative educational objectives that align with the goals of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) System and the Department of Medicine., • Support the development and enhancement of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program curriculum., • Oversee all educational activities within the Division, including training for medical students, house staff, and fellows, as well as continuing medical education initiatives. This will encompass bedside training, didactic sessions, conference preparation, and the creation of a core curriculum.Qualifications Candidates must possess or be eligible for a medical license in New York and be board certified or eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, with preference given to those holding advanced degrees. (WSFSSH) is a community‐based organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops and manages housing and provides social services for low‐income older persons, many of whom live with mental illness and/or have experienced homelessness. Our 440 staff members serve more than 2600 residents in 30 buildings located throughout Manhattan and the Bronx. About WSFSSH’s Wellness Initiative WSFSSH’s Wellness Initiative seeks to create a culture of wellness within our residential developments for older adults to facilitate the adoption of healthy habits that will improve their overall physical, emotional, and mental well-being. We aim to identify, develop and implement best practices to improve health outcomes for older adults, including and particularly for those with histories of homelessness, mental illness and/or substance abuse. An overarching goal of the initiative is to increase our resident connections to high quality primary and preventive health care so as to encourage better resident health management and quality of life through reduced emergency room visits and hospitalizations. The initiative will focus on utilizing appropriate primary and preventive medical care, managing chronic conditions (including medication management), and expanding resident knowledge of healthy habits such as increasing physical activity and consuming more nutritional food. Position Overview The Wellness Coordinator report to the Director of Clinical and Social Services and is responsible for the overall coordination of residents’ health-related services at the site level. The Coordinator must be capable of comprehending complex public health issues and have the ability to develop programs and strategies to engage residents in taking a more proactive approach to their health. The Coordinator builds relationships with the residents and their care team (physicians, nurses, social workers, etc.) to coordinate and ensure the provision of health-related services.
