The Program specially services young adults 18-25 years old with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness and have a chronic history of being unhoused. Most of the young adults living at Cortelyou are members of the LGBTQ+ community. The Program offers a safe environment and supportive services to help our young adults to move towards long term stability. This Program is under the NY/NY 15 population C agreement and funding is being provided through the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Job Description Under the direction of the Director of Tenant Services, the Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance, custodial, and upkeep of a building. Role Summary The Superintendent works closely with the management company and is supervised by the Program Director. The superintendent is responsible for the comprehensive upkeep, maintenance, and operations of the Barrier Free Living Apartments supportive housing facility. This is a full-time, live-in position requiring hands-on leadership, building positive relationships with vendors, timely response to maintenance needs, and proactive oversight of building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Seventy-five percent of the units are for single individuals and twenty-five percent are for families. Both case management and housing maintenance services are provided. These programs provide hundreds of units of housing in the community and SRO type housing in our 24 hour congregate residences to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS, other chronic health conditions, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders. Our programs provide case management services to ensure that clients are connected to and maintain primary health care; secure behavioral health care when needed; and are connected to other services that support them in becoming and remaining permanently housed. Job Description The purpose of the Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments, retain residents through customer service, and handle administrative and financial responsibilities for their assigned community. Verify applications and process file quickly through phone calls and correspondence. Submit to manager for approval. Set up file for move-in. Turn in traffic and phone recap weekly to the Community Director. Follow up with each visitor within 24 hours via personal phone call and send a personal note/e-mail for them to receive within seven days of their visit. Any other projects or assignments given by Community Director or Regional Director. As General Manager, your mission is to challenge, motivate, engage and lead your team to drive operational and budgetary excellence across your Placemakr property, using your foundational leadership skills and operationally savvy mindset. Around here, things move fast, and no two days look the same (which is how we like it!). You'll dive right in with providing hands-on support when escalated issues occur while instilling accountability, ownership and innovation in every member of your team. Through Manager on Duty shifts and scheduling yourself as flexibly as our operating model, you’ll impactfully lead our teams, engage with our ownership groups and shake up the status quo (because "that's how it's always been done" simply isn't in our vocabulary). In this role, you’ll need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, providing clarity and building trust across your team and partners, and excel in implementing programs and processes that keep us continuously improving. The General Manager must be fueled by motivating and leading people, championing Placemakr’s Community Norms and embodying accountability to drive a culture of top performance, world-class service and operational and financial excellence. This position requires open availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays, on a rotational basis and as the needs of the business call for it. The pay for this position range is XSmall: $108.5k - $113.5k - $118.5k New York - Medium: $148k - $153k -$158k New York - XLarge: $205k - $210k - $215k.What you'll do • Consistently provide an exceptional experience to anyone you interact with by embodying what our teams, guests, residents and partners should think of as a trusted friend, subject matter expert, and local insider., • Foster a "one team" mentality by collaborating effectively with all property and non-property leaders and team members contributing to a cohesive and supportive work environment., • Maintain a safe, secure and compliant environment for leaders, team members and guests by adhering to and driving accountability for established Placemakr and property-specific people, operational and financial policies and procedures, including emergency protocols, scheduling and budgetary reporting expectations, attendance policies and conduct expectations., • Embody Placemakr leadership competencies by driving accountability, developing, motivating, challenging and engaging your team of line-level managers, supervisors and individual contributors, ensuring excellence in people leadership, operations and finances of your property., • In partnership with non-property leadership, provide initial and ongoing training for your team(s) on Placemakr people, operational and financial SOPs and programs., • Own the success of company-wide or property-specific people-related initiatives on your property and provide executional guidance for your leaders that will support hiring, engagement, retention and development of all members of your team., • Collaborate with Placemakr’s PX and TA teams on talent acquisition efforts for your property, including supporting consistent recruiting and hiring processes, and engaging in grassroots or in-person recruiting initiatives to hire top talent., • Own the overall operational success of Front of House, Back of House and administrative/budgetary functions of your property through execution and support of Placemakr SOPs as well as embodiment of our Community Norms., • Partner with your Area Leader and/or non-property teams and use an outside-the-box mindset to ideate and execute on people, operational and/or budgetary solutions that support Placemakr standards., • Utilize Placemakr SOPs and best practices and collaborate with all Placemakrs effectively to ensure your property is consistently meeting or exceeding Placemakr service level and operational standards., • Provide hands-on assistance to all members of your team for issues that require escalated leadership or expertise., • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Revenue, Marketing and applicable non-property teams to drive overall revenue through pricing strategies, occupancy targets, etc., • Drive NOI and overall financial success of your property through owning your property budget, implementing budgetary initiatives and following FAA, Owner Relations or other team-specific SOPs and standards set forth., • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned What it takes, • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in management, business administration, communications, hospitality or a related field; or commensurate experience in lieu of a formal degree, • 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role within retail, food & beverage, hospitality, multi-family or similar environment, where customer service is at the heart of the operation, • A minimum of 1+ years’ experience of successful multi-department leadership; retail, food & beverage, multi-family or hospitality-focused experience strongly preferred, • Experience with executing on team member relationship issues and retention, engagement, succession planning, performance management and/or growth and development initiatives, • Proven track record with scheduling, training and developing non-exempt employees to maintain exceptional service levels and uphold company standards, • A demonstrated track record of operational and financial success made possible by a true customer-focus, managing controllable expenses, driving team performance, effective decision-making skills and a solutions-oriented mindset, • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver a message clearly and professionally across varying levels of team members and external partners, • A hands-on leader and world-class motivator who takes an active role in growing and developing their team, • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships, competing priorities and time and resources proactively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, • You lead by example and embody the core values of Placemakr. Job Description Who We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports, they need to thrive. We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today. CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. CAMBA’s Flagstone Family Center provides comprehensive case management services to 160 families who are in a Tier II transitional residence program for homeless families. The facility consists of eight (8) four (4) story walk up apartment buildings on the east and west sides of the street. There will be two main entrances: one for the east side of the street and one for the west. Each building contains 20 apartments of varying sizes, each fully self-contained. Position: Client Care Coordinator Reports To: Client Care Supervisor Location: 199 Amboy Street, Brooklyn, NY 11212 What The Client Care Coordinator Does: The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to: (1) provide individual and/or group counseling services to assist clients and their families to achieve healthy relationships, emotional stability, personal development and/or adjustment; and, (2) counsel clients regarding issues such as: abusive behavior, family dynamics, healthy personal choices, substance abuse, mental and physical health/trauma related issues; including the following: The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to: (1) provide individual and/or group counseling services to assist clients and their families to achieve healthy relationships, emotional stability, personal development and/or adjustment; and, (2) counsel clients regarding issues such as: abusive behavior, family dynamics, healthy personal choices, substance abuse, mental and physical health/trauma related issues; including the following: • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality., • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures., • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information., • Assist clients in completing all CAMBA intake applications, screenings and forms., • Create and maintain client files and make file copies., • Conduct initial risk assessment of clients and clients' families., • Prepare initial biopsychosocial evaluation within 30 days of client entry and update according to regulations., • Provide a range of "instant response" services when a client's immediate well-being and safety is threatened., • In collaboration with clients and case managers, assist in the preparation of initial Independent Living Plan (ILP), including short-term and long-term client goals., • Assist clients in attaining their goals by identifying community resources and by referring clients to appropriate services both within and outside CAMBA (i.e., medical services and psychiatric services, etc.)., • Follow-up with clients and with referral organizations regarding client contact and progress with referral organization., • Consult with others both inside and outside of CAMBA to determine causes of client problems and effect solutions., • Act as advocate on behalf of clients and client families' to arrange for medical, psychiatric, educational and other tests and examinations that may disclose causes of client difficulties and indicate remedial measures., • Attempt to alter clients' and their families' attitudes and behaviors that cause or aggravate problems., • Facilitate or participate in case conferences with all stakeholders in clients life to ensure collaborative approach to services., • Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports., • Lead group counseling sessions and psychoeducation to enhance social development and psychological education of individual clients and provide peer support., • Monitor clients' progress toward their goals via regularly scheduled face-to-face contacts/sessions., • LMSW or MSW, • Sensitivity and awareness of working with homeless and vulnerable populations is a plus., • Complete pre-employment requirements such the State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, The Register of Substantiated Category One Cases of Abuse or Neglect aka Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance and Criminal history information checks via fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services prior to start of employment., • TB test required., • Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment., • Required to become First Aid/CPR certified., • Required to become certified in overdose prevention., • Licensed Master Social Worker required within one year of date of hire. This license must be maintained throughout the course of employment in this role and any other CAMBA positions for which it is required. Compensation: $67,000 - $72,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
