The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in ensuring that every guest feels cared for with grace, generosity, and Marcel’s signature refinement. The Assistant General Manager is a hands on, service forward leader who supports the General Manager in directing all front of house operations across Marcel’s multiple outlets. This role guides the team in delivering luxury hospitality rooted in warmth, precision, and old world service values. Responsibilities • Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring cohesion and excellence across all spaces., • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, leading service with elegance, confidence, and a guest-first mindset., • Support financial performance, including forecasting, purchasing, and P&L accountability, with discipline and care., • Train, coach, and mentor all FOH staff to uphold luxury service standards and embody Marcel’s refined hospitality ethos., • Foster an inclusive, warm, and professional culture built on respect, continuous learning, and genuine hospitality., • Partner closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and leadership team to align service with culinary and cultural programming., • Cultivate meaningful relationships with guests, ensuring each interaction is personal, intuitive, and polished., • Anticipate needs, resolve concerns with discretion, and foster an environment of grace and attentiveness., • Lead the execution of private dining, semi private experiences, and special activations, ensuring aligned service and flawless delivery., • Uphold all safety, sanitation, and ServSafe protocols across FOH operations., • Ensure all service standards, steps of service, and guest engagement protocols are executed consistently and thoughtfully. Qualifications • 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or multi outlet operations., • A leadership style that inspires confidence, professionalism, and teamwork across diverse teams., • Strong mastery of luxury service standards, wine knowledge, and food and beverage pairing etiquette., • Proven ability to excel in a high volume environment without compromising refinement, detail, or guest connection., • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L performance., • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, welcoming presence., • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with hospitality operations.
