This role requires deep knowledge of professional billing, strong chart review skills, and hands-on EPIC experience.Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities • Review and accurately code professional fee encounters for Cardiology and/or Ophthalmology, • Assign CPT, E&M, and applicable modifiers in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines, • Perform thorough chart reviews to ensure complete and accurate code assignment, • Navigate and work within EPIC workflows and chart review modules, • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and coding regulations, • Maintain productivity of 70–75 encounters per day (8–10 per hour) while meeting quality benchmarks, • Identify documentation gaps and communicate appropriately for clarification Required Qualifications • CPC Certification (Required), • Strong Professional Billing (PB) background, • Proven experience coding Cardiology and/or Ophthalmology, • Solid understanding of E&M coding guidelines, • Demonstrated experience reviewing full patient charts, • Hands-on experience using EPIC for chart review and coding, • Ability to meet daily productivity and accuracy standards Preferred Qualifications • Recent, hands-on EPIC coding experience, • Experience in high-volume coding environments, • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Schedule • Monday–Friday, • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Additional Information • Equipment provided by client (pickup required in Manhattan, Westchester, or Long Island), • Not a federal/government position, • Interview follow-up within 24–48 hours
