Under direct supervision of the physician, the rounding nurse will work with the physician in delivering care to the patients of the Pediatric Hospitalist Service. The rounding nurse will participate in patient centered rounds, assist in the collection of patient information, assist physician with communicating orders and plans of care to hospital staff members and patients and their parents. • Participates with physicians in making patient care rounds., • Assist in the collection of patient information for the physician to review to facilitate documentation and information flow. (Including lab results, pending tests or procedures, and outpatient follow-up), • May accompany the physician to the bedside and transcribe physician's narrative in progress notes. May transcribe verbal orders.
