Job Description SUMMARY: The QA/QC Manager oversees the QA/QC team of Clinical Operations. Manages all QA/QC activities, training and competency assessments, and QA/QC system standardization across all departments in the clinical laboratories. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads, plans, organizes, and supports the daily activities and resources related to laboratory QA/QC activities. Maintains CAP/CLIA/NYS laboratory standards, • Assists with standard policies and procedures development and implementation, • Oversees and ensures proper Quality Control processes has been implemented and maintained across all labs/departments according to regulatory requirements, • Participates in test troubleshooting and modifies existing protocols in order to resolve problems related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance, • Oversees and maintains records for laboratory staff training, competency assessment, • Evaluates and optimizes resources necessary for ensuring efficient clinical laboratory operations, • Assists with the regulatory inspections and supports Quality Management System, • Assists with metrics development and maintenance.
