Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to support and lead all aspects of restaurant operations. This is a true FOH + BOH leadership role—not a kitchen-only or beverage-only position. Ideal candidates are high-energy, decisive leaders who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and are ready to run the full operation. Position Overview Assistant Managers play a critical role in driving guest experience, managing teams, and ensuring operational excellence. Managers are keyholders and are responsible for opening and closing shifts, leading large teams, and maintaining strong cost controls. This role requires stamina, accountability, and a proactive leadership mindset. Key Responsibilities Restaurant Operations & Leadership • Lead both Front of House and Back of House operations, • Manage daily service execution, guest experience, and team performance, • Serve as a keyholder responsible for opening and closing shifts, • Lead teams of approximately 60–80 employees per restaurant, • Coach, train, and develop hourly team members, • Set clear expectations and lead by example on every shift, • Support staffing, scheduling, and labor management, • Manage labor and food costs, • Support inventory controls and operational efficiency, • Drive performance metrics tied to guest satisfaction and profitability Training & Development Manager in Training (MIT) Program • 8-week structured MIT program, • Very hands-on and performance-driven, • Graduate training confident, humble, and capable, • Can independently run the full operation, • Lead proactively, not reactively, • Fully embrace company systems, culture, and standards Schedule Expectations • Typically 5 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift, • 2 consecutive days off, • Managers often arrive 6–7 AM (restaurants open at 11 AM), • Weekends required, • Mondays required for all managers, • GM weekend flexibility comes later, once operations are stabilized Candidate Requirements • 2+ years of restaurant management experience, • FOH and BOH experience required, • Fast-casual experience acceptable with strong leadership depth, • Must be 21+ years old, • Reliable transportation required, • Strong decision-making and leadership presence, • Physically able to work long, active shiftsCompany DescriptionRestaurantZone is one of the fastest-growing national recruiting agencies in the hospitality/restaurant space.
