Job Description Job Title: Young Adult Ministry Coordinator Position Type: Full-time Department/Group: Ministry Campus Location: All Reports to: Director of Ministry Job Description Job Summary The Young Adult Ministry Coordinator will support the mission and vision of The Church Without Walls by ensuring the effective operation of the Young Adults Ministry. Reporting directly to the Director of Ministry, the Coordinator will facilitate the relaunch and revitalization of the Young Adult Ministry. Creating an innovative, future-focused space for young adults to grow in faith, build authentic community, and live out their calling. They will also curate events that celebrate the diverse talents of our members, foster intergenerational relationships, and inspire young adults to embody TCWW’s mission: “Bringing men and women to Christ, equipping them for greater ministry and service to humanity.” This role plays a vital part in engaging young adults (ages 18–39) through discipleship, outreach, and fellowship opportunities, while also overseeing specialized programs such as College, Baccalaureate, Scholarship, College 101, College Campus Tours, Prayer on the Yard, and Worship Fellowship & Dine. A key responsibility includes managing the Shelby Next Membership software for group updates, participant records, and communications. Essential Responsibilities Administrative & Ministry Support · Collaborate with Campus and Service Leads to plan and manage all Young Adult ministries and activities, including event registration and room scheduling. · Oversee internal administrative functions to ensure ministries operate with excellence. · Maintain Shelby Next Membership records, including group updates, attendance tracking, and volunteer assignments. Communications & Engagement · Develop and implement an internal communications plan to promote ministry opportunities using digital platforms (social media, website, mobile app, and Shelby Next communications tools). · Use surveys, analytics, and feedback tools to measure engagement and shape programming. · Raise awareness of ministry opportunities through creative outreach and culturally relevant engagement strategies. Discipleship & Spiritual formation · Identify, mentor, and equip emerging leaders to build a pipeline of future ministry leaders. · Collaborate with the Discipleship Coordinator on curriculum planning and leader training. · Implement discipleship pathways for young adults that encourage spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and service. · Help young adults integrate faith into daily life, at work, school, and in their communities. · Provide guidance and feedback to ministry leaders across focus areas (Spiritual Formation, Discipleship, Evangelism, and Stewardship). Community & Ministry Partnerships · Build and maintain relationships with local universities, nonprofits, and community organizations to expand ministry impact. · Ensure programming is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and reflective of the diversity of the congregation and community. Events & Initiatives · Plan and execute engaging, relevant events, including worship nights, social gatherings, and retreats. · Develop initiatives that connect faith, culture, and purpose, helping young adults navigate life in community with biblical grounding. · Collaborate with the Media, Worship, and Communications teams to ensure creative promotion and engagement through digital platforms. · Attend weekly leadership team meetings, facilitate Campus Lead meetings, and lead quarterly Young Adults Ministry (YAM) gatherings. · Participate in assigned ministry and media meetings. Other Duties · Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support ministry operations. Qualifications • A vibrant, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission of The Church Without Walls., • Proven experience in ministry leadership, community engagement, or discipleship development., • Warm, people-oriented, and patient, with a heart for mentorship and spiritual development., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across generations and teams., • Bachelor’s degree preferred; continuing education or certification in Christian Education or small group ministry is a plus., • Minimum 2 years of experience in Christian education ministry, a large church environment (1,000+ members), or an educational institution. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Proficiency with Shelby Next Membership software, including group updates, communications, and participant tracking., • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite., • Familiarity with ministry-focused digital tools (Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Instagram Reels/TikTok)., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
