All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management. Job Purpose: The Warehouse Clerk is charged with coordinating the receiving of materials and supplies, organizing an effective method of storing them, and distributing them out as needed to meet production goals and objectives. This person will also backfill the role of the Warehouse Coordinator in their absence. The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition, management may modify this job description as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Support and promote the safe, compliant, and clean operation of plant assets and ensure Reliability Team personnel and contractors follow safe work practices., • Responsible for unloading and receiving incoming MRO items and entering proper documentation in the tracking (Main Saver / E-Maint) and accounting (Navision) systems., • This includes updating assets and assets spare parts within the CMMS system’, • Enter invoice receipts into the tracking and accounting systems., • Issue MRO items out of the tracking and accounting system as they are utilized in the facility., • Monitor and maintain inventory of all MRO items in the warehouse., • Warehouse organization, labeling, and sanitation., • Setting up MRO items to be sent out for repairs, returns, or exchange., • Development and execution of periodic cycle count throughout the warehouse., • Delivery or pick-up of various MRO items throughout the facility., • Enters new MRO items and information into the tracking system. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: • Back fills the Warehouse Coordinator role as needed., • Prepare purchase requisitions for MRO items that fall below their minimum levels (including detailed order costs, shipping information, tax or freight charges, accounting codes, etc.), • Order MRO items after purchase order is approved (may travel locally to pick up and/or deliver miscellaneous supplies/items)., • Provide reports as needed for inventory levels, status on POs, status on deliveries and other reports as requested., • Collaborate and align with the Alto Campus Purchasing Power Team, with a focus on optimization across the campus., • Attends and participates in meetings, professional work-related meetings, and conferences to enhance professional development., • Responds to inquiries from other Alto locations for consultations and part exchanges. Qualifications: • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently., • Demonstrated ability to professionally work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and diverse teams and management styles., • Competent working with computers and general office equipment; working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, and other computer software., • Excellent communication skills, oral and written; excellent telephone skills., • Valid driver’s license Education/Experience: • Reading, writing, math, and computer and Microsoft Office Software knowledge., • High School Diploma or equivalency., • Preferred candidates would have warehouse or clerical experience, and inventory management control., • Previous training and experience in Main Saver/ E-Maint and/or Navision would be beneficial but is not required. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to work in cold to hot temperatures; work around dust, fumes, and/or moderate to loud noises; work inside and/or outside., • Able to climb stairs and ladders; walk on paved and unpaved surfaces; sit at a desk and operate a computer and keyboard; visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear, speak, and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone; lift horizontally and vertically, bend, stoop, stand, and reach., • Ability to work at elevated heights, • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
