Job Description JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant FLSA STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week), Hourly/Non-Exempt JOB LOCATION: Child and Family Connections of Central Illinois Office 14, 1014 W. Pioneer Parkway, Suite 110, Peoria, IL 61615 POSITION STATUS: Candidate must be able to work in-person/onsite. Due to the nature of the position, there will be no remote/work from home opportunities. The CFC #14 program (Child & Family Connections of Central Illinois) serves Henry, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford Counties, offering early intervention service coordination, evaluation referrals, and support to families of children from birth to age three. Funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services, CFC #14 has been successfully administered by Easterseals since 2013, providing vital service coordination in our region. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for office communications, greeting the public, and performing various secretarial tasks related to Child and Family Connections and the Local Interagency Council. This position is entirely grant-funded through the Illinois Department of Human Services, renewed annually, and is subject to any related changes. Job Functions: • Assists with secretarial support for Child and Family Connections, Local Interagency Councils, and related Committees., • Provides first-line customer service to internal and external customers., • Responsible for answering and screening telephone calls, taking messages, and relaying information to all CFC staff and other pertinent agency personnel., • Assists with accurate collection and timely entry, updates/corrections, transmission, storage, retrieval, and documentation of receipt of CFC and CBO data, including referral information., • Sorts incoming mail and files all required reports., • Provides all office functions, including Cornerstone activities, in the absence of the Office Coordinator., • High School Diploma or equivalent, required., • Minimum of two years of secretarial/office coordination experience., • Working knowledge of personal computers and software (MS Office Suite and Cornerstone System)., • Maintain confidential information to safeguard clients and families. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Must have visual ability sufficient to read and complete written correspondence, reports, etc., and computer screen information., • Frequent use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel., • Regular standing, walking, sitting, and reaching., • Primarily operates in an office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature. The compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $15.00.
