Job Description Job Title: Financial Analyst Department: Finance Reports To: Director of Finance FLSA Status: Salary Exempt Employment Status: Full-time Pay: $55,000-$60,000 Annually Job Open: 03/19/2026 Job Close: 03/26/2026 Job Summary: The Financial Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of Fixed Assets and Inventory accounts. This position includes tracking and managing fixed assets and inventory, ensuring timely and accurate entries in the accounting system, and completing monthly reconciliations. Additionally, the Financial Analyst provides support for Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) functions as needed. Responsibilities extend to specialized tasks within the Finance department, such as preparing ad hoc and special reports, driving process improvement initiatives, and managing records retention. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Process and document daily transactions for fixed assets and inventory accounts, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness., • Generate accurate reports on fixed assets and inventory and assist with developing and maintaining regular reporting through the company's accounting system., • Calculate and record monthly depreciation for fixed assets., • Update and enforce disposal protocols for retired assets, including creating necessary accounting entries and tracking the disposal status to ensure timely updates., • Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset and inventory accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining detailed issue logs., • Enter and update account information and transactions in accounting software, maintaining organized and accurate records., • Prepare and compile documentation for month-end closing tasks and annual audits, ensuring all files comply with company policies and GAAP., • Ensure the accuracy of data entry and reporting, researching and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)., • Address inquiries regarding asset status and provide updates as needed., • Manage the finance department's records retention in compliance with the Illinois State Archives retention schedule, including initiating and overseeing disposal requests and actions., • Engage in professional development and training opportunities to stay updated on best practices and job-related knowledge., • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)., • Data entry, recordkeeping, and mathematical concepts., • Computers, related software applications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)., • Performing calculations, balancing accounts, and reconciling financial records., • Tabulating, recording, and maintaining accurate transactions., • Researching and resolving account discrepancies., • Operating standard office equipment efficiently., • Analyzing and interpreting data and effectively communicating findings to various levels of staff., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the public, ensuring effective exchange of information., • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment., • Typically requires reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions., • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
