As part of the A. Stucki Company family, Wheelworx plays a key role in keeping the rail industry rolling by reconditioning railcar wheels and axles used throughout North America. We’re looking for a dependable, Machine Operator to join our team and put mechanical skills to work operating a tread lathe that supports the production of high-quality metal parts used in heavy industrial applications. Duties/Responsibilities: • Set up and operate metal-cutting machinery, including a Tread Lathe, to produce precision parts according to specifications., • Cut, shape, and manipulate metal components to build tools, equipment, and machinery parts., • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet standards., • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to keep machinery running safely and efficiently., • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production., • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Skills/Experience Requirements: • Experience operating manual or CNC metal-cutting lathes (Tread Lathe experience a plus)., • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail., • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools., • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Plus an extra $3.00 per hour in monthly bonus incentives based on attendance, safety, and total hours worked. Open Schedule: • 1st shift: Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
