Role Description This is a full-time remote position for a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor at Hope Matters Institute provides supportive, ethical, and development-focused supervision to associate clinicians while ensuring compliance with California BBS requirements and HMI clinical standards. This role includes comprehensive review of associate documentation—including progress notes, initial assessments, and treatment plans—to ensure clinical accuracy, medical necessity, and insurance compliance. Supervisors provide weekly individual and triadic supervision, support case conceptualization and clinical decision-making, and play a key role in clinician development, retention, and overall clinical quality. Supervisors are expected to oversee and support up to 6 associate clinicians. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Clinical Supervisor maintains a clinical caseload of approximately 10 clients. ***Supervisors will initially build and maintain their caseload while undergoing insurance credentialing, which may take several months. Once credentialed, supervisors will transition into full documentation review responsibilities across their assigned associates. This role works closely with leadership to uphold clinical excellence, maintain compliance standards, and support a high-functioning clinical team. Compensation • $62.50 per client session, • $70 per supervision hour (individual and triadic), • $70 per hour for associate documentation review Responsibilities Provide weekly 1:1 and triadic supervision in accordance with BBS requirements Review and approve all associate documentation, including: • Progress notes, • Initial assessments, • Treatment plans, • Ensure documentation meets clinical, legal, and insurance standards Support associates in: • Case conceptualization, • Treatment planning, • Risk assessment and management, • Maintain a personal caseload of approximately 10 clients, • Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistency in clinical quality and compliance, • Support clinician development, performance, and retention, • Uphold ethical standards and best practices in all areas of care Qualifications Required: • Active, unrestricted California license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist) in good standing, • Meets all California BBS requirements to serve as a clinical supervisor, • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience (or as required by BBS), • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision (individual and triadic), • Strong knowledge of insurance-based practice, medical necessity, and documentation standards, • Proven ability to review and evaluate clinical documentation for quality and compliance, • Strong clinical judgment and ability to guide associates in complex cases, • Ability to manage supervisory responsibilities alongside a clinical caseload, • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills, • Comfortable working in a fully remote, telehealth-based environment Preferred: • Currently PAVE-approved (highly preferred), • Experience in private practice or outpatient settings, • Experience working with diverse and high-acuity populations What You Can Expect at HMI • A structured, high-functioning clinical environment with clear expectations, • The opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping clinician development, • A balance of clinical autonomy and collaborative support, • Consistent referrals to support caseload development, • A team culture that values professionalism, growth, and accountability Position Overview This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who: • Enjoys mentoring and developing associate therapists, • Has strong attention to detail and documentation quality, • Values structure, accountability, and clinical excellence, • Is comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
