    We started Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good. Nowadays, people can spend so much time on what's "healthy" they don't stop to consider what's healthy. As far as we're concerned, happiness is healthiness. We strive to ensure every scoop, store and employee feels and creates one community to contribute to the overall brand. Van Leeuwen is looking for a full-time Digital Content Creator to take the brand's digital footprint to the next level across social-first platforms and beyond. We are seeking a creative who's plugged into internet trends with a finger on the pulse of the social landscape; your love for content creation should be as evolving as your FYP. ⟳ The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for developing high-quality and mouth-watering** videos and images for web, social, marketing materials, press and other major platforms. You will be well versed in all touchpoints of content creation: conception, storyboarding, execution, food styling, editing and publishing. You will work closely with our Social Partnerships Manager and Graphic Design Manager to develop thumb-stopping content that maximizes our reach and engagement. This role will be based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office three days a week. Job Responsibilities • Ability to create solid video compositions while adhering to brand guidelines across various platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc., • Develop creative concepts and storyboard ideas for video content that resonate with strategy and increase benchmarks such as site traffic, sales and audience engagement, • Produce high-quality videos showcasing ice cream flavors, menu item launches and brand ethos, • Brainstorm innovative and captivating video series, tutorials, recipes, and other engaging formats to promote brand visibility and engagement, • Ability to capture pixel-perfect lifestyle, product and event imagery to use as promotional material, • Assisting in photoshoots: videography, BTS footage, etc., • Image editing tasks, such as cropping, resizing, retouching, and color adjustments, to enhance the visual appeal of designs across both print and digital collateral, • Coordinate video shoots including location scouting and equipment setup, • Collaborate with other team members to maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials, • Nimbleness and adaptability to real time changes while capturing footage, • Support the marketing team in the development and design of digital assets including email, social graphics, in-store, grocery and digital advertisements, • Ensuring and maintaining visual brand consistency across all design projects such as internal/external decks and presentations, • Ability to prepare and review files for print production, ensuring accuracy and quality Job Requirements • 1 to 3 years experience in a Content Creation role (in-house experience required), • Excited by the opportunity to experiment creating new types of content, • Experience in capturing photo and video content, ideally with an emphasis on food, • Ideal candidate has experience with food styling and an eye for visual presentation, • Savviness to social trends to keep content fresh and relevant, • Willingness to travel and be on-site when opportunities arise, • Enthusiastic self starter, • Detail and process oriented, • Knowledge of industry standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut) to create engaging and polished final products, • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Canon C70, iPhone, • Must be comfortable working in-store scoop shifts as needed, while adhering to DOH guidelines Compensation + Benefits $70,000 - 80,000 annual compensation depending on experience, paid weekly Eligible for annual 5% bonus • Employee Scoop Card (Enjoy Ice Cream from any of our scoop shops nationwide), • Medical, Dental + Vision Insurance with 70% Employer Contribution, • 401k with up to 4% Employer Match, • Cell Phone Reimbursement Plan, • Wellness Reimbursement Plan, • Flexible Time Off, • Paid Sick Time, • Yearly Performance Reviews Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is committed to pay transparency and equity among all employees and provides employees an environment where pay transparency and dialogue on compensation are allowed. THE OPPORTUNITY As an Assistant Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in driving daily operations, team performance, and guest satisfaction. You’ll lead by example — ensuring food quality, food safety, operational excellence, and strong team culture throughout every shift. You will oversee both back-of-house and front-of-house operations, support staff development, manage inventory and labor, and ensure compliance with NYC health regulations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you are actively coaching, solving problems, and elevating performance in real time. The Assistant Manager ensures the quality, safety, and consistency of Adobo’s food every day while inspiring Crew members and creating an environment where every guest leaves happy. WHAT YOU’LL DO In addition to following Adobo’s policies and procedures, key responsibilities include: Leadership & Operations Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations. Support hiring, onboarding, and training of Crew members. Coach and develop team members into future leaders. Manage shift execution, ensuring smooth service flow. Maintain strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Food Quality & Safety Ensure all food meets Adobo’s high standards. Enforce NYC food safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor food handling, storage, and FIFO inventory rotation. Complete required temperature logs, safety checklists, and compliance documentation. Maintain an “A” grade standard at all times. Inventory & Cost Control Oversee stocking, ordering, and waste management. Monitor food costs and labor to meet performance targets. Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when needed. Guest Experience Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently. Maintain a positive, welcoming dining environment. Lead by example in hospitality and service excellence. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate (REQUIRED). Must be 21 years or older. Prior management or supervisory experience in a restaurant environment. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and NYC health regulations. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Strong communication skills in the primary language(s) of the restaurant. High school diploma (preferred).
