The Position The Assembler position will play a key role within a team that will work together to assemble our customer’s product. The ability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment and in conjunction with meeting delivery schedules and customer requirements is critical to this position RequirementsThis position will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. Ability to read and understand, in English, the customer drawings, parts list, wire list, specifications and assembly router for step-by-step instructions.Ability to learn to use basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, heat gun.Keeping equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance. Perform a wide variety of production assembly. This involves mechanical as well as electrical wiring operations, including fitting and alignment of parts to close tolerances using appropriate hand tools, calipers, microscopes, torque wrenches screwdrivers, scales, etc.Point to point continuity/wire checking including electrical troubleshooting, inspect and repair same or similar equipment including some mechanical and electrical troubleshooting helpfulAuditing of kits, filling material shortages and support other operators in day-to-day activitiesMaintain facilities, material, and work area while adhering to general good housekeeping practices and comply with all ethics, health, safety compliance and quality requirementsCreate and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process ImprovementHave a production-oriented mind and attitude. Capable of handling repetitive work, while adhering to exacting specifications and tolerances.Ability to work on miniature microelectronic circuitry under stereo microscopeAbility to work with small and miniature tools such as miniature soldering iron, tweezers, x-acto knife, and similarAbility to multitask, performing different jobs, duties, and tasks daily. Able to adapt to ever-changing prioritiesWorks well with limited supervision, holding themselves accountable for their own workload and priorities. Follows health and safety rules, properly uses provided safety equipment and exercises caution in all work activities Education and Experience • High School Diploma or Equivalent, • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing environment, • Electro-Mechanical assembly experience, • Strong crimping, connectorization and soldering skills, • J-STD Certification is preferred but not required, • Must be able to work under a microscope for inspection purposes Requirements: Required Skills & Working Conditions • Must be able to pass Manual Dexterity requirements (handling small parts effectively, demonstrate fine motor skills and dexterity to manipulate tweezers, small pliers and parts with speed and precision), • Must possess sufficient hand and upper body strength and gross motor skills to route cable bundles of various sizes and weights, • Must be able to demonstrate Technical Literacy (ability to read and accurately interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, BOM’s and blueprints or demonstrate the ability to learn this process), • Must follow strong safety standards, • Must possess attention to detail, • Must be able to work as part of a team, • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking/understanding English, • Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision)
