The Director of Event Technology is responsible for leading the event technology team and consulting with customers and hotel event management to create defining experiences for all customer live and virtual events hosted at the venue. Job DescriptionBergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions for our Graphic Design program for Spring 2026. Visual Arts Department: The mission of the department of visual arts at Bergen Community is to provide students with instruction, experience and encouragement in the practice of visual art and the study of the history of art and visual culture. Our courses, taught by professors who are also professionals active in their fields, impart current information and techniques and promote the development of students’ thinking about art, media, and culture. The Visual Arts Department is located on the main campus in Paramus in West Hall. Facilities include state-of-the-art studios for computer animation, computer graphics, drawing/painting, digital and darkroom photography and digital projection for the teaching of the history of art. The Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.)- Graphic Design/Computer Graphics program option is designed to provide students with the coursework needed to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. The curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a pathway to careers in graphic design/computer graphics as graphic designers, art directors, multimedia artists, and animators. Students can take coursework and concentrated options in graphic design. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with Bergen Community College faculty and Career Services as they begin to explore career options. Courses and Requirements: We are looking for adjunct faculty to teach within the AAS Graphic Design/Computer Graphics program. Courses include: • Typography, • Web Development, • 2-D design, • Graphic Design Applicants should be well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Applicants with additional experience in web, mobile and coding applications are encouraged to apply. Classes are studio based and involve both lecture and hands on in class work with students. You'll lead a large team of staff members, including swim instructors, lifeguards, and customer service representatives, ensuring that each member of our team is equipped with the skills and resources they need to succeed. In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, implementing marketing strategies, driving membership sales and promoting our core Goldfish customer values. Primary Responsibilities: • Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS standard operating procedures., • Manages the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction., • Trains and oversees the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students of GSS., • Interacts with the Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training., • Provides sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff., • Provides direction in the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing is achieved., • Trains and oversees private party staff to ensure that the GSS standard operating procedures are being maintained., • Gains knowledge and experience of scheduling software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions., • Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment., • Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities (Fun Department) with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction., • Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility. Trains all current staff on the GSS EAP., • Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field., • Schedules staff and manages payroll., • Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer. Job Qualifications and Skills Required: • College Degree required. Bachelors degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent is desired., • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is ideal and will be required for the position., • Problem solver and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter., • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales tracking., • Experience with payroll systems and employee scheduling software., • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community., • Passion for customer service and a commitment to upholding Goldfish Swim Schools' core values (Integrity, Compassion, Trust, Accountability, and Fun)., • Some evenings until 8pm (~3/week) and one weekend day per week (5 hour shift, done by 2pm)., • Must pass background examinations (included with training).
