From fixing HVAC and plumbing issues to keeping pools sparkling and interiors looking sharp, you'll be the go-to expert for keeping our resort in peak condition. As an Maintenance Technician II, you will: • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management., • Troubleshoot plumbing issues, make repairs, and replace fixtures and piping as needed., • Diagnose, replace, and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts., • Troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures., • Understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics., • Repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking., • Repair or replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as required., • Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks., • Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work., • Operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems)., • Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions., • Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management., • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools required for the job., • Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)., • Follow safety guidelines and practices., • Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property., • Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution., • Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures., • Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior., • Integrity – Doing the right thing when no one is looking., • Passion – Creating a positive impact., • Work Ethic – Taking pride in your work.Qualifications, • High school diploma required., • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment., • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license., • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort., • Written and verbal communication in English is expected., • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus., • Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues., • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines., • Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds., • Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
